Advisory Board

Mr. Turner was the Co-Chief Executive Officer and a Co-founder of Capital IQ prior to its sale to Standard & Poor's for $200m in 2004.  Steve remained Executive Managing Director for S&P following the sale of Capital IQ.  Prior to Capital IQ, Mr. Turner served as an Investment Banker at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. where he provided advisory and capital raising services to private equity funds.  Prior to Bear Stearns he served as a Banker in the Capital Markets Group at GE Capital, where he raised private equity and debt for middle market companies.  

Mr. Turner received a B.S. from the University of Vermont and an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Prior to joining KnowVera, Mr Temkin was Executive Vice President and Head of Exchange Traded Instruments, Americas, for Thomson Reuters.  Mr. Temkin joined Reuters in April 2001 as Executive Vice President of Equity Product Development for the Investment Banking and Brokerage Customer Segment.  In this role he was directly responsible for the development of the global sell-side Equities strategy.  In March 2003, Mr. Temkin was made Executive Vice President, Head of Desktop – Reuters Station, with responsibility for the design and marketing strategy of the current and next generation premium desktop.  In January 2006, Mr. Temkin was made Executive Vice President, Institutional Sales and Trading, with responsibility for working with Reuters' top North American Buy-Side accounts, to build customized analytical solutions. 

 

Prior to joining Reuters, Mr. Temkin worked for Bridge Information Systems where he served as Executive Vice President from 1998-2001, and was responsible for the design of Bridge's core products, BridgeFeed, BridgeStation and BridgeChannel, and oversaw the effort to integrate multiple workstation applications of the Bridge divisions. 

Mr. Temkin is a Director of the BATS Stock Exchange based in Lenexa, KS.  He is also the Lead Director of the Board for the Exchange. 

 

Mr. Temkin graduated Cum Laude from Hobart College with a BA in Economics and Mathematics, and was elected to Omicron Delta Epsilon Honor Society in Economics and Phi Beta Kappa.

Rasheed is a quant hedge fund manager and published author with over a decade of experience successfully building research/technology/trading teams and managing risk.

Rasheed is the Head of Quantitative Strategies at Ellington Management Group. He developed the core set of strategies traded by the Quantitative Strategies Group, including strategies in equities, financial futures, commodities, and volatility. He also cultivated a team of traders, researchers, and technologists.

Rasheed is a big believer in the use of alternative data in investing and has spoken at conferences on Big Data in Finance. He is an investor and operator in the data technology space. Rasheed has also authored several papers on quantitative investing.

 

Rasheed graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard University. While at Harvard, Rasheed authored and published four papers in the mathematical field of combinatronics, and received several awards, including the Sohier prize for best thesis in the humanities.
